riots getting hot looking out for someone. soldiers on his heals struck up a raw deal. hold your fingers upon the flames and smile. cast a target on his back, it's fair game. it's a wild country on an open road. fortunes come to past and stories been told. with their devilish smiles and the dust clearly settles the score. don't look back for danger is coming. marked up his arms to throw off a scent. sentences destroyed in a thieves hidden hideout. got the neighbor's on the watch, it's veteran's day. it's a wild country on an open road. falling fast on a crooked path with no one to hold. alarms sound throughout the desert skies as they turn to black. and they laugh.
